Dinard is located on the opposite bank of the Rance River and is clearly visible from the Corsair City of Saint-Malo.
Dinard experienced its golden age in the 19th century, becoming one of the most sought-after seaside resorts in Europe. It was a favorite destination for wealthy British and American holidaymakers, who built magnificent villas in and around the town.
There are two ways to get to Dinard:
Today, Marshal Joffre Square, located halfway along the main Écluse Beach, serves as the town’s central gathering spot.
A casino, a swimming pool, hotels, and restaurants overlook the long sandy beach, which is lined with neat rows of blue and white beach huts.
